Children are the future generation!

About

Our Mission

Diaspora Power, Inc is a heart-driven non-profit organization that passionately collaborates with global diaspora communities to combat hunger, reduce poverty, and uplift the spirits of the enchanting country of Haiti, along with other nations worldwide. Beyond our core focus on humanitarian efforts, we take pride in providing the communities we serve with distinguished transportation services. This unique transportation not only assists individuals in reaching their workplaces, medical appointments, or social events but also nurtures a sense of togetherness by linking neighbors and comrades. The essence of non-profit community transportation is rooted in its commitment to serving the common good, demonstrating that transportation transcends mere physical movement – it’s about fostering connections and cultivating a supportive atmosphere where everyone can flourish. Whether it’s a dedicated volunteer behind the wheel or a compassionate staff member aiding passengers with their requirements, the kindness and warmth of non-profit community transportation undeniably make a positive impact in people’s lives.

Our Vision

  • Feeding Program

Make sure that every single Hitian is fed on a daily basis and to do away with food insecurity.

  •  Agriculture Progam

Teaching how to work (farm) the land, so that they can become self-reliant and self-sufficient in the future.

  • Education and Security Program

As a result of chronic poverty, we believe that the children are affected academically and also the reason why so many gang related activities have such a high level of insecurity.

  • Health Program

Most rural areas( or half the population) have no access to health care, and that resulted in a great majority of the people becoming susceptible to treatable diseases.

  • Transportation

As part of human life they need transportation from point A to point B to evacuate on their own. We estimate that it’s important to provide community transport for each one who is needed throughout the globe.

Values

Food insecurity has tremendously increased in Haiti lately and arrive of the pandemic (Covid-19), also been a contributing factor to this unfotunate plight. With the continuous rise in unemployement, the people are becoming more and more vulnerable to malnutrition.

According to the United Nations, 1.5 million people are facing food insecurity, and further 6.7 million peple are struggling to meet their own food needs on basis. That study was done in 2013 which was three years after the devastating earthquake that claimed the lives of more than 300.00 people. It is sad to say that now in 2020, things have not gotten any better.
